At the Dapto Second Grade game today against Port Kembla a Minute Silence was held in Remembrance of Phil Hughes Port Players to the left the feeling of everyone there was one of such great unity in feeling of the occasion. Dapto won the game Port all out for 142 Dapto 4 145, The Magennis Brothers having a 60 Partnership J Hurd Hitting the winning runs

First Day Of 2014-2015 Cricket and Julies Birthday

Had a great time watching Dapto Cricket Club Second Grade playing their first Cricket game of the year at North Dalton Park against Wollongong,It was Shannon O'Donnell's first game for some years and his 14 year old son Brandon Playing his first ever grade game, Dapto scored 6 for 228, and then dismissed the opposition for 109 the outstanding thing to happen before I had to leave was that Shannon with his first ball back did catch and bowl the batsman, I was sitting with his wife , youngest Son and Mother-in Law and oh what joy that did bring them to see it I think Emily even videoed it, The first picture is of Jeff Hurd and Brandon O'Donnell returning the not out batsmen The Captain Wayne Paton had a great innings scoring 80,  and Harry Magennis 39. Shannon finished with 5 for 22, with Hurdy Taking the last catch off his bowling The Old Brigade Main picture  Shannon to the right in the back line with a son Brandon to his right and 10 year old Son Hunter to his left A Great Threesome, Shannon finished with 5 for 22, with Hurdy Taking the last catch off his bowling The Old Brigade
