Just an update the picture above was taken as you can see on the picture on the 15 February 2006, and the second picture 06 September 2009 today. it is the same bird, and my neighbour tells me that he even looks for me when I am not here on holidays. I did hold the camera in a better position in the first picture.

Today my friend was a bit later than normal for his dinner was close to sunset as you will see by the light when I gave him his biscuit he went to tree to eat it as I had washing on the line near where he normally sits

This Parrot is a native of Tasmania and in winter goes north to Victoria, but due to the bad bush fires in Victoria in February they have ventured further afield north to our area in the Illawarra; these pictures were taken on a tree close to my front door
