Today I went to a new place for me Called Yongning at the end of the Blue Line Metro not much difference but came across this old Temple With a Huge statue of a dog at an entrance I am not sure what it represents but the male part of the dog was pronounced; but the Temple design was nice

Today I walked from Yuanshan Metro Station across the river passing the Art Museum and Art Park on to the Martyrs Remembrance area

These guuards were in 30+c heat and behind the scenes there were men who would come out and give them a spray with water and other things to stop them fainting, it must have been like torture to them

Saw this sign on one building and I saw in the next some school boys and girls doing their part to keep the planet clean and in the lower picture on my walk down the mountain did see the largest live snail ever

Today we did a trip to the top of the Taiwan Island going by Bus then Train and the picture above is of two school girls doing some homework using the seat as a desk, we then got on another bus to the top, and had a walk around it is well know for sweet potatoes and the big food market, it was very crowded,

Whilst we were out Neil got a phone call from a neighbour and when he said where we were she asked for him to get her some sweet potatoes, here he is purchasing them also receiving another phone call, we had a very nice lunch of squid, did not like the idea at first but with the condiments on it, it was very nice, on the way back we caught a coach which took us through the mountains, but unfortunately was very misty and could not see the real beauty of the scenery, Then onto the metro and then local bus.

Today I went to visit Keelung Harbour

There were two foreign cruise Ships in Port

This Policeman stopped me on the wharf and allowed me to take the two close up pictures, and said I must leave I then said OK but I will take one of you first, at this he smiled and agreed.

Today just walked along the Xindian river not far from homeGuys fishing

Have seen these buildings go up since I came here in January 2007

This whole area where I stand and that where the two guys were fishing was completely under water 3 weeks ago in the aftermath of typhoon
